Stephen Rosenthal, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Rosenthal has worked in the Montefiore system for over 20 years and was one of the Montefiore strategists who conceived of and organized CMO. He has served as its chief operating officer since its inception. He was also responsible for organizing Montefiore's 23 clinical academic departments into a successful facility practice plan and led the restructuring of the medical center into an integrated delivery system. Mr. Rosenthal has a Master's in Business Administration from Pace University and a Master's in Computer Science and a bachelor's degree in speech from Brooklyn College.

Joseph Pinho, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pinho is responsible for CMO's financial management including planning and reporting, provider reimbursement, claims adjudication, human resources and facilities management. Over the last 20 years, he has held senior financial positions with several managed care organizations including 13 years with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. He holds a BS in Accounting from Montclair State College.

Anne Meara, RN, Associate Vice President, Network Management
Ms. Meara designed, developed and manages CMO's comprehensive medical management programs, overseeing a staff of over 70 nurses, physicians and support personnel. Prior to joining CMO in 1996, Ms. Meara was Director of Quality and Utilization Management at Healthfirst and Manager of Hospital Utilization Review at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has a BSN in Nursing from Columbia University and an MBA from Adelphi University.

Johnine Cummings, Director, Behavioral Care Management
Ms. Cummings is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for all of CMO's behavioral care management services. Ms. Cummings began her career at Montefiore Medical Center in 1981 as a staff social worker and has held several management positions, including Associate Director of Social Work, Inpatient Division, from 1990 to 1996. She has a Master's in Social Work from Hunter College and an undergraduate degree from Salve Regina University.

Michael G. Dowling, Director Provider Services and Network Contracting
Mr. Dowling is responsible for overseeing contracting, provider relations, senior services, marketing and network development and credentialing for CMO. For the last 18 years, he has held senior management positions in several academic medical centers and managed care organizations, and worked for the City of New York as a policy analyst in the MayorŐs Office and the Department of Health, holding the position of Assistant Commissioner, Policy, Planning and Quality Assurance. Mr. Dowling has a Master's in Public Health from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from Denison University.

Joseph Guarino, Director of MIS
Mr. Guarino is responsible for overseeing the computer technology, finance and billing operations for CMO. He has served Montefiore for over 13 years in related positions. He has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science from Iona College.

Stephen Kulovits, Director, Customer Services
Mr. Kulovits is responsible for all Customer Service activities for CMO including the day-to-day management of the contact center which supports 120,000 patients and 1500 providers. He has been involved in quality assurance initiatives for several healthcare concerns over the last 10 years. He holds an MBA from Fordham University and an undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Pamela McMasters, RN, Director, Decision Support
Ms. McMasters leads the CMO's data analysis and reporting department, providing CMO's claims processing, customer service, finance office and other departments with all reporting requirements, and provides support to Montefiore Medical Center for planning and analysis. In this capacity, her team produced 60-80 ad-hoc analyses per month for every level and department in the medical center. After graduating from nursing school in Eugene, Oregon, she began her career as a registered nurse for several NY hospitals. She holds a BS in Computer Science for Pace University.

Robert Anderson, Assistant Director, Managed Care Applications
Mr. Anderson is employed by Emerging Health Information Technology, CMO's sister organization, and is the company's liaison, responsible for managing the activities to support all computer applications and technology for CMO. He has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance industries, combining business and technical knowledge to improve processes and strategic information planning and implementation. He has an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Tufts University.
